One Day, One Outfit: Conquering Key West to Miami in Style for Meeting Planner Women

Last week, I embarked on a whirlwind tour of legendary hotels, from The Keys to Miami Beach! 🌴 For my incentive and meeting planner friends out there, I’ll share an outfit hack that seamlessly took me from Hawk’s Cay Resort to my rental car, then to the iconic Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach, followed by a visit to the exclusive Biltmore Hotel, and finally back to South Beach for dinner – all in just one day! 🚗💨 I hope you enjoy my summary and photos and get some great ideas. Gatekeeping? Not my style. 😉#incentivetravel #eventprofs #travelhacks

First, I experienced unparalleled luxury at Ocean Reef Club, a private gated community spanning 2500 acres of tropical splendor with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Located just an hour from MIA, with a private airstrip for easy access. While exclusive to members, group bookings are welcomed, making it the perfect destination for board or VIP retreats. Enjoy world-class amenities including marinas, golf courses, and fine dining restaurants. Indulge in a variety of recreational activities such as fishing, boating, and diving. You’ll find greater availability and better rates for larger groups in the summer when it’s still breezy on the courses due to building height restrictions. Of course, I stopped into Port O’Call to see a bottle of Romanée-Conti.

Next, I ventured south, enticed by the laid-back charm of the Keys, to discover Hawks Cay Resort and its casual, fun-filled atmosphere. Dive into team-building activities like group fishing charters and boat-building exercises, then hop aboard private boat tours for ocean-view cocktail receptions. Maybe you prefer a private poolside day complete with cabanas, snacks, and massages, and don't miss the rum tasting at the Rum Bar, Pilar, whose name was inspired by Hemingway’s boat. Head off-site for dinner to Angler and Ale for a nice marina-side reception and dinner. The Lanai Adult Pool walk-out guest rooms are perfect if you want to upscale your accommodations. Family groups will love the Tropical Villa Homes.

And then I headed back north to Miami to enjoy The Fontainebleau Miami Beach, an iconic resort offering corporate groups an unparalleled blend of style and sophistication. Guests can indulge in top-notch dining options, luxurious accommodations, and renowned entertainment, making it an ideal destination for groups of any size, particularly large convention groups. The resort boasts its own convention center, 1,500 guest rooms, and over 100,000 square feet of meeting space right on the beach!

Lastly, I couldn’t come all this way and not pop over to visit the legendary Biltmore resort. Nestled in a neighborhood in Coral Gables, Florida, this historic and luxurious resort is renowned for its grandeur, elegance, and world-class amenities like afternoon tea. Built in 1926, the Biltmore Hotel is a designated National Historic Landmark and a symbol of the glamorous Jazz Age. With 271 guest rooms and 75,000 sq ft of meeting space, it offers an ideal ratio for groups looking to enjoy learning, relaxation, and fun. I must note how impressive the fitness center is, and of course, the golf goes without saying.

Now for the outfit hack! I grabbed the pleated chiffon skirt and sweater at H&M.  I started with the Madden girl platform sneakers in the Keys and ended in heals and jewelry on South Beach.
